Week 4 Predictions

Week four marks the quarter mark in the Season for many teams and for some teams it’s still unclear what to expect from them this year. The Chargers, Falcons, and 49ers all teams that had high hopes coming in have under performed thus far and have all started 1-2. Many thought with Desean Watson returning for the Texans they would be able to match their offensive output of a year ago when he burst on the scene but that has not been the case. Starting 0-3 and having a bottom 10 scoring offense so far makes Week 4 very important for attempting to turn their season around.

In non NFL news we have NBA preseason starting back up and some funny headlines made by Tristan Thompson, as he says the Cavs are still the team to beat in the East. I’m not sure if Thompson has just been drinking all off season and doesn’t remember that LeBron left the team, but seeing those comments was laugh out loud funny. Many people say the NFL is year round attempting to dominate the headlines even in the off season. However nothing compares to  the reality show that the NBA has become, I mean we have Jimmy Butler banging KAT’s girlfriend and then demanding a trade. You have Kawhi with possibly one of the least self aware moments in internet history with his introductory presser with the Raptors. I do love the NFL, but it is exciting to have basketball coming back, especially considering it means that much more to gamble on.

Alright enough of all that lets get to some picks:

Cinn @ Atl (-3.5)

This game is going to have points, points and then some more points. Atlanta has been decimated by injuries on the defensive side of the ball, already losing 3 starters for the year. Dre Kirpatrick is injured for the Bengals and Aj Green is expected to be at full health. I expect this to easily go over the 53.5 total. Over 53.5

TB @ CHI (-3)

As I have stated on this blog previously I will always be waiting on Fitzmagic to turn back into Fitztragic. Jameis is back from his suspension and Fitz is coming off a clunker, this is the game he shows why he’s a career backup. Chicago’s defense will feast on Fitz and I expect Bucs fans to be wondering where Jameis is come half time. I like the under 46.5 and CHI -3. Bears 22 Bucs 17.

Alright running out of time before I have to leave for the 1 pm games, so the rest of the picks will be given with one sentence justifications.

Hou @ Indy (-1)

Texans stink, couldn’t even beat the Giants, Watson doesn’t look like he did last year. Colts -1. Indy 24 Hou 17

Cle @ Oak (-2.5)

Cleveland is 3-0 ATS, and Oakland can’t pressure the passer, I don’t think either team will light the score board up but I think Cleveland’s defense will be enough to win. Cle 25 Oak 22

NO @ NYG (+3.5)

Giants stink and I think NO defense is better than they’ve played so far, also I don’t think New York can keep up with NO offense. No -3.5, NO 35 NYG 17

BAL @ Pitt (-3)

Steelers one loss was to KC who looks to be an early season Juggernaut, Baltimore’s best win is against the Case Keenum. Pitt -3, Pitt 31 Bal 27
