I have got to stop over thinking the Thursday Night Under. They have hit every week and every week I’ve over thought the game and didn’t take them. Now I won’t take responsibility for my lose this past Thursday, if you read my blog I wasn’t seeing the line clear and was bound to lose. Lucky for everyone reading I feel due for a big week. Let’s get right into the games.
DEN @ GB (-7.5) (O/U 42.5)
This game has under written all over it. The Packers defense is legit this year and even if the Packers put up 30 I don’t see the Broncos scoring much in this one at all. They’ve scored 16 and 14 to start off the season and as long as they keep Flacco at quarterback that’s about where their offense will reside. Pick: Under 42.5 Prediction: GB 34 DEN 7
ATL @ IND (-1.5) (O/U 47)
I mean I gotta be honest with you I was a little surprised by this line. The Falcons coming off beating the Eagles and a Colts team beating the Chargers in part because of TD’s being called back. Matt Ryan has somehow managed to play almost every game he plays this year in a dome, an environment where he has excelled throughout his career. I think the Colts will struggle to keep up with the Falcons and I think they win outright but as always we’ll take the points just to be safe. Pick: ATL +1.5 Prediction: ATL 24 IND 21
BAL @ KC (-5.5) (O/U 52)
I’m not gonna be the ass hole who takes the under while Lamar Jackson and Pat Mahomes march up and down the field and light up the scoreboard. There are certain games where even if you like the under you have to take the over just for shear viewing pleasure. Pick: Over 52 Prediction KC 35 BAL 30
CAR @ ARI (-2.5) (O/U 44.5)
Now I know I said I was done betting the Panthers, but I would never forgive myself if the week they broke their losing streak I didn’t take them. Therefore I have decided I will be betting the Panthers every week until they either win a football game or cover the spread. Pick: CAR +2.5 Prediction: CAR 24 ARI 20
NO @ SEA (-5) (O/U 44.5)
The unders this year have been hitting at an alarming rate and it’s something I like to continue into this weekend. The increase in holding calls and penalties in general has handcuffed offenses. Add onto this the fact the Saints are starting a backup and Seattle loves to run the ball and try to control the clock. Pick: Under 44.5 Prediction: SEA 21 NO 20
LAR (-4) @ CLE (O/U 47.5)
I still think the Browns kinda stink. I don’t foresee the Rams allowing 45 free rushers like the Jets did and I think the Rams will win this one easy. Pick: LAR -4 Prediction: LAR 31 CLE 17
