After going 2-0 yesterday I’d be lying if I wasn’t feeling good heading into Sunday. I think the big surprise of the day was how the Titans were able to completely shut down Lamar and the Ravens. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little happy to see Lamar lose. Considering he is from the same QB class as Darnold and has already been far better in the NFL seeing him fail in the postseason was a small victory. Also shout out to Ryan Tannehill, winning two postseason games and not passing for over 100 yards in either. This Titans run is reminding me a lot of the Rex Ryan Jets teams that went to back to back AFC Championships. It’s amazing what a hot defense and a bell cow running back can do in the playoffs. Do I think they can win the Super Bowl? Not really but I do think they will be a tough out for any of the remaining AFC teams and if they can make the super bowl anything can happen. Today we have two good matchups, between 4 great quarterbacks, so lets make some picks.
HOU @ KC (-9.5)
I am very much looking forward to watching Mahomes battle his QB class counterpart Desean Watson. Last week Watson was incredible down the stretch and in the second half but it doesn’t take away from his mediocre play to start the game. The Chiefs last lose came on November 10th, and since then they have been force, especially defensively. During their winning stretch they have held teams under 20 in all but one game. I think this game continues the trend of playoff games staying under. Especially considering the high point total of 50.5. Pick: Under 50.5
SEA @ GB (-4.5)
While the East coast is experiencing record high temperatures it will be business as usual as far as playoff weather in Lambeau. They had so much snow Saturday they had to pay fans to come out to the stadium to shovel. I think again here the play is the under. Green Bay will look to establish the run and control the clock and if the Packers can limit big plays then they should be able to keep the Seahawks right around 20 points. Pick: Under 45.5
