Now I am never one to toot my own horn, but after going 5-0-1 yesterday I am feeling pretty good heading into Monday Nights Double Header. I think every Monday Night should have two games, its the perfect way to unwind after a packed NFL Sunday. Alright lets get to some picks.
New England @ Kansas City (O/U 48.5)
I am really hoping that KC just comes out and absolutely mops the floor with the Patriots. The Patriots will be without Cam Newton which would explain the Chiefs being 11.5 point favorites. While I do like the Chiefs to win here 11.5 is too many points against Belichick lead team regardless of who is at QB. Instead I am liking the total and I am liking the over. I was right on all my overs yesterday so there is no reason to get scared and bet the under now. I think the Chiefs will be able to light up the score board and I think the Patriots will put up more points than people expect. Hoyer knows this offense and has shown an ability to step in as a serviceable back up in the past. As long as the Patriots get 17 I think the Chiefs make up the rest. I don’t think a 40 point game is out of the questions for them tonight.
Pick: Over 48.5
Atlanta @ Green Bay (O/U 56.5)
I said it yesterday and I said it the week before, if I see a total this high I am going to bet the over. That is especially true when looking at the two teams in this game. The Packers have had one of the most impressive offenses in the league this year putting up 43,42, and 37 in their games. On the other side of the ball is the Falcons who live to give up points, surrendering 38,40 and 30 in their games. This game is going to be the most sure fire over in the history of overs. There is no way the Packers hold Atlanta under 28 and there is no way the Falcons don’t give up 40. This is exactly what you want from a Monday Night game, a good old fashioned shootout.
Pick: Over 56.5
