Week 10 Thursday Night Football

The big dog is back after a short hiatus to welcome a daughter into the world this past week. Do I think being a father will make me a better gambler? Time will tell, but what I do know is that I have yet to give out a losing pick since becoming a father.

We have a fantastic Thursday Night Game to welcome be back, with the Cardinals and Seahawks facing off against each other. The Seahawks enter this one in a bit of a tail spin. They have lost 3/4 including dropping one to the Cardinals. A lot of the blame will go toward the Seahawks defense and rightfully so they have been dog shit. Even with the addition of Carlos Dunlap and getting Jamal Adams back they have been giving up yards at an alarming rate. I just hope Jamal Adams doesn’t get too depressed again during this Seahawks skid like he said he got in New York when they would lose. Jamal Adams still has time to return to being an all pro player but as of now that trade looks like highway robbery by the Jets, which is something that doesn’t often happen. Along with the defense playing at a poor level, Russell Wilson has also been playing poorly. After starting out hot and basically being handed the MVP by NFL writers, he has come back down to earth. In the Seahawks 3 loses he has thrown 7 INTs, that is not a recipe for success. It might be time to take the spatula away from Russ and start trying to establish some sort of rushing attack.

On the other side of the game you have the Cardinals and Kyler Murray. Kyler has been playing like people think Russell Wilson does. Kyler is putting up numbers similar to Lamar last year rushing while putting up better passing stats. If we weren’t seeing quarterbacks all over the league putting up ridiculous numbers I think Kyler would be getting more MVP buzz. It’s amazing what happens when you surround a talented young quarterbacks with weapons and a good head coach.

Now lets talk about the play tonight. I think the best play is on the over 56.5. Last time these two teams met the final was 37-34 in favor of Arizona. I don’t know if the total will get that high here but any game with the Seahawks defense playing has a chance to top 70 total points. Take the over and lets get a winner heading into the weekend.
