We are into Week 14 of the NFL season and the big dog is hitting his stride just in time. We are past the bye weeks so we have a full morning and afternoon slate. We also have some very intriguing matchups but none more so than the Bills Steelers on Sunday Night. The Steelers are coming off their first loss to the Redskins and the Bills are looking to show the nation they are ready to compete with the top AFC teams. Of course the Bills had the chance to prove this earlier in the year and got slaughtered by KC and Tennessee but hope with a healthy defense to fair better.
I would also be doing a disservice if I didn’t mention Gregg Williams. As much as I’d like to believe he was securing the tank for the Jets I think in reality he is just a horrible defensive coordinator. After the Jets go winless this year Williams will have been apart of 2/3 0-16 teams. While you don’t really see teams tank in the NFL the blueprint is now out there. You hire Gase as head coach, Gregg Williams as Defensive coordinator and Hue Jackson as offensive coordinator. That trio could coach the Chiefs and they would still find a way to end up with a top 3 pick. I hope more teams start to tank in the NFL make it more like the NBA.

ARI @ NYG (+2.5)
Don’t look now but the Giants might actually be good. This line makes no sense to me. You have the Giants coming in hot just beating the Seahawks the previous week playing very good football especially defensively. Then on the other side you have Arizona, who is playing like dog shit and if it wasn’t for a Hail Mary against Buffalo would be on a 5 game losing streak. As it is they are losers of 4/5 so the fact they are favored here has me confused. I think the Giants have enough defensively to stop Arizona and come out winners. We will however take the points just to be safe.
Pick: NYG + 2.5
KC @ MIA (+7)
While 7 feels like a lot considering Miami’s defense I still like the Chiefs here. Miami likes to play a lot of man coverage on the back end and that is where Patrick Mahomes and company has had their most success. The Dolphins also like to bring pressure, again Mahomes in his career has been great against the blitz. I think the Chiefs roll here and continue to show they are the best team in the NFL.

TENN @ JAC (O/U 52)
This game has over written all over it. The Titian’s are coming off a lose to Cleveland so will be looking to put up 60 on the Jags. And knowing this Jags defense they very well might. On the other hand the Jags might also put up 60 given how bad this Titian’s defense is. This game will hit the over midway through the 3rd quarter, it’s an easy bet.

ATL @ LAC (-1)
Anthony Lynn compared their loss last week to the Patriots to Pearl Harbor. Anytime you get that desperate you know you have lost the team. The Falcons stink but they have played better under Raheem Morris. I think the Falcons win easy here but as always we will take the points. This is also the right bet because even if the Chargers are leading they are always ready to blow a lead late.

GB @ DET (+8.5)
Aaron Rodgers is 16-5 against Detroit all time in his career. The Packers are playing for the lone first round bye so you know they are going to keep their feet on the gas all game. The Lions will get Swift back which should help against the Packers pitiful rush defense. Still that won’t be enough to keep this close as the Packers win by double digits easy.

PITT @ BUFF (-2.5)
As I mentioned in the opener this is a game that I think most NFL fans will be looking forward to. I think the Redskins were able to expose some of the Steelers flaws offensively. The Bills defense which was bad to begin the year has started to round into form a bit. But ultimately the Bills will go as far as Josh Allen takes them. If he plays like he did against the Titian’s and Kansas City they will lose. If he plays how he did against the 49ers they will win and win easy. I like the Bills here, at 2.5, I think if it was over 3 I would lean the other way. But I think the Bills will win by a field goal an cover.
