Week 16 Rich Homie John

The Browns come to NJ today without an eligible WR and are -6.5 point favorites in the 1pm matchup against the Jets today. This is the tightest spread since Week 4 when the Jets and Broncos were a pick’em.

Last time here, Baker and the Browns dominated Simiean and the Jets, 23-3 on MNF. In fact, both of Baker’s appearances against the Jets have been in primetime. Baker made his career debut in relief of Tyrod Taylor in 2018 on Thursday night football in a win that ended Cleveland’s 19 game winless streak. Baker owns the Jets.

While the Browns have a bunch of scrubs playing WR due to COVID-19 protocols, the Jets secondary will feature a bunch of scrubs due to poor roster management. I don’t think the lack of experience of in the Browns WR corps will be a big deal. They still have a TE on the roster, yes? Then they will have no issue moving the ball through the air. The one matchup I will be eager to watch is Mount Becton vs Myles Garrett. I expect Becton to have his chef’s hat and apron on this afternoon as he piles high flapjacks all game.

It’s hard to know what to expect from the Jets coming off of the flukiest win in team history. The Jets offense remains horrible and near the bottom of the league in statistical categories, even if you cut it off for the past five weeks when the team has been generally at full strength on offense. With the Browns lack of healthy weapons and the Jets all around incompetent offense, it seems like and Under pick. Let’s take under 44 today. And let’s go Jags!!

The pick: Under 44
Big Hank’s long shot of the week: Austin Hooper to have 80+ yards and CLE win +570
